document auto appears

Every time I open word, a document that I typed a week
ago keeps reloading. I don't need this document at all,
much less to keep being the first thing I see when I open
word. At present I have to open word, the document auto
appears, I delete the document to start a new one. How
do i make it so this document will stop auto appearing?
