document cannot be registered

Everytime I open Word XP. I get an error message telling
me that "This document could not be registered. It will
not be possible to create links from the other documents"
If I try to use the send to send a file as email I get a
MAPI error and cut and paste do not work. Any ideas?

This *could* be a symptom of Blaster infection. See
