Document Connection Issues

I just installed SP2, and have been using Document Connection. Here are a few issues I am having.

My company has three sharepoint sites:
<https://www.mycompany.com>
<https://www.mycompany.com/sites/site1>
<https://www.mycompany.com/sites/site2>

If I add all three, they show up fine, with the files in them. However, if I click on one of the sharepoints, and then click back on the original one, I get an error that says:

"The location site1 no longer exists.

The location may have been removed from the server. Try to add the location again."

And it disappears from my side bar. I can goto add it again, and it adds fine, and I can browse fine again until I switch between locations again, in which case all this happens all over again.

When I first click on a location, I can see any sharepoints mounted below it. It shows the symbol of a sharepoint and the name of the sharepoint. But these only show for a split second then disappear, and all I am left to see are files and folders. I think it would be great to see the sharepoints, please explain if this is intended behavior that they show quickly then disappear.

My sites are using SSL, however, the certificate is not "valid" but I told the program to continue anyway the first time I used it, I am not sure if that could be the source of these problems. It has never asked me again about the certificate and seems to be working fine, i mean I can add the shares and browse the files. But switching between shares makes me add them all over again, because it errors every time and I have to re-add.

Thanks,

Brian

If I add all three, they show up fine, with the files in them.
However, if I click on one of the sharepoints, and then click back on
the original one, I get an error that says:

"The location site1 no longer exists.

The location may have been removed from the server. Try to add the
location again."

And it disappears from my side bar. I can goto add it again, and it
adds fine, and I can browse fine again until I switch between
locations again, in which case all this happens all over again.

I've seen this too and it must be a bug. Be sure to report it using the
Help --> Send Feedback option in any *other* Office application.
Unfortunately, this tool was left out of Document Connection but it only
takes you to a website where you can write a free form comment.

Hope this helps!

Hi Brian,
What you are seeing is definately not intended behavior, and I don't belive
SSL should be the issue, even if it is an invalid certificate the DC should
let you proceed without incident.

Can you tell me what version/type of server you are connecting to
(SharePoint v.3, MOSS 2007, etc...)?
Thanks,
-Kirk

I too am having the exact same issue. If I map it to our home site and
individual sub sites if I click on the home site then I get the error message
and have to re add them again.
