Document could not be registered?

I have a couple of users that are using Windows 2k sp2 and OfficeXP SB sp2
that are getting this error message every time they open up Word and Excel.

Word
"This document could not be registered. It will not be possible to create
links from other documents to this document."

Excel
"Cannot use object linking & embedding."

I would appreciate any help you can provide me with.

This is one symptom of msblast.exe infection. See
