Document imaging

When trying to scan a new page software produces an error message re "unable
to initialize scanner". Scanner driver is ok and will work from within Office
package such as PowerPoint etc but not document imaging. I did try another
OCR package, Textbridge and it was to same. Any suggestions

"and it was to same"??? Same as what? Work? Not Work? Scanner installed
after Office? WIA not working?

Sorry, I was trying to be too brief :)

The textbridge software was the same as MS it came up with the same error
message

Would have to say it's not making itself accessible toy the Windows
Image Aquisition system. Suggest following this one up in a group for
the Windows version you are using, as it's not caused by Office, but
either the driver software or a windows update issue.
