document information

Whenever I open a document, it contains about a page of
document information. I have looked all over
Tools/Options and can find nothing unusual.
Your help would be appreciated. Last time it happened, I
ended up reformatting and reinstalling.

Barb,

In the file open dialog box, make sure that "recover text from any file" is
not displayed. If so change to all files or Word files.
