Does Outlook 2007 use SQL server?

Paula

I am a home user and am wondering why SQL server is constantly running on my
PC. Is it because of Outlook 2007? I do not use Business Contact Manager.
What would happen if I removed SQL server from my machine?
Thanks

If BCM is not installed and you do not need SQL server, you should be able
to remove it. If BCM is installed but you don't use it, uninstall it.

SQL can be used by a lot of other applications as well besides Outlook.
If you indeed have BCM installed but do not use it, then you can uninstall
BCM as Brian said already.

If this is not the case, then you'll have to did a bit deeper in trying to
determine which other application it got installed with and using it.
Windows Live Essentials for instance also uses SQL modules to operate
correctly.
