does word use a pdf format.need for on-line corrospondence.

i am starting an External degree program at a bible college and one of my
classes for correspncence requires that replies be in a pdf format.i am
wondering if micro word supports this type of program and if not do i need to
purchase another program such as adobe?

Word does not include the ability to create PDFs. You will need to purchase
Adobe Acrobat or one of its cheaper clones.

Why does 'External' warrant capitalisation whilst the remainder of your text
is all lower case?

No, Word does not provide a PDF format. For that, you need a third party
applications such as Adobe Acrobat Writer. Adobe is expensive though: If you
search Google for PDF Writer, you'll find many cheap third party options
that you can buy. They nearly all install as though they are a printer
driver. To create a PDF file, you use File, Print and select the PDF printer
option and save the PDF document to your disk.
