Downloaded Outlook 2002 updates and now send/receive won't work

After successfully downloading updates for Office 2002
from MS, my Outlook e-mail will no longer connect to the
server. I've verified that the server is on-line. Does
anyone have any suggestions for how I fix the problem or
remove the updates?
