Drop and Drag text notepad

Is there any way to select text to delete or copy in notepad.

Basically I have a document where each line has a delimiter (a little square
box) I need to select only the text to the right of this box. If I use the
mouse for text selection it only copies the whole line as I go down the page.

Is there feature which would allow me to just select the text I need?

1. Notepad is not part of the MS Office suite and so is not covered by
this group.
2. If you really mean to select all contiguous characters you will GET
ALL contiguous characters. Either DELETE the undesired characters prior
to selecting OR select in batches. Further questions should be posed in
the group for the operating system you are using.
