Drop down box not working from WEB page

When I cut and paste a drop down box from a web page, save it as a word document and then open it. The drop down box doesn't work. The drop down box works before I save and re-open

Hi Doug

Drop-down boxes of the kind used in many web pages are not available in
an ordinary Word document. Try doing File > Save As and saving your
document as a Web Page
