Dropdown menus in all of my office products take forever to "drop.

I use Word, Front Page, and PowerPoint in Office 2003. Suddenly, when I
click on the dropdown menus in all of these programs, it takes up to 30
seconds for anything to appear in the window so that I can select where I
want to look for pictures, data, etc.

I am using Windows XP Home.

All help appreciated.

Open "My Computer" and Disconnect from any unavailable storage. (r-click
the red x and select disconnect)
