I know I've seen similar threads before, but was looking for as close to a
definitive answer as possible:
MOPS2007, SP1, October CU
User having issues where e-mail alerts are consistently going out for
completed tasks in the past. Looks like the e-mail alert contains all tasks
for each user on each publish.
Is this a system bug, or a user issue? I note that I've seen the MSPE FAQ
which describes something similar to this as a bug, but doesn't specify
whether or not the e-mail contains a note that each and every task has been
updated.
On further analysis of the schedule, I note that the user has resources
assigned to the summary tasks and has linked summary tasks. We're working to
remediate that in the schedule, but suspect that this could cause
unpredictable behavior in terms of task completion and assignment changes.
Am I barking up the wrong tree, and this is a known bug? Any input
appreciated.
