Project 2007 completed tasks getting corrupted

I have a schedule I've been tracking for sometime now. We get our team
members to update their hours every week using the project web access. Phase
1 was completed in January 2008 (we're in phase 3 now). However I suddenly
noticed that the finish date for the project had jumped to 2025 and when I
checked it was because of phase 1. The tasks in phase 1 have become
corrupted.

Fortuantely I email the schedule to the project leader once a week and have
kept the emails and was able to correct the schedule. The fact that it
corrupted completed tasks is very worrying. When I looked into it more
closely I found that every week it has been corrupting phase 1 and it was
only when it shot out to 2025 that I noticed! I am now extremely worried
about what other tasks and what other schedules may be affected by this bug.
Emailing the schedule to the project leader is the exception rather than the
rule so for all other cases I don't have old copies of the schedules.

Basically I can't trust project 2007 anymore.

I have another bug that when people update their hours the duration gets
changed and their hours are spread out e.g. 6h on one days gets spread out as
0.03 or whatever for weeks in advance. At least if I spot that bug and I
haven't published the schedule yet I can go in as that team member and try
and see what they entered and correct the hours. But with this bug where
completed tasks are corruputed (even tasks with no-one assigned). I reported
this one on microsoft's Connect site at the beginning of the month but no-one
seems to read that site so I've had absolutely no feedback.

We've installed SP1 and all the hotfixes, including the very latest one
released this month for sharepoint, the server and project professional.

What on earth is going on. Has anyone else had this sort of bug? What can
I do to avoid it. It is so bad I am getting IT to use up their microsoft
support budget to try and get some direct help from microsoft. Normally I
just use the help and workarounds I find from this discussion board but now
with such a seemingly random bug I can't carry on anymore. Has anyone any
ideas or help or experienced something similar?

Thanking you in advance, Joanne
