Earned Value Report

I am a brand new user and need to create an Earned Value Report for a class.
I've entered planned resources and costs, saved a baseline, changed
percentage of completion for some tasks and entered actual costs. The
variance amount shows in the cost table but when I try to display an Earned
Value Report all I get are zeros. (I also did a manual calculation on the
project.)

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you so much for any help.

Hi Chelsea
Looks like you have done most things to get a reading.
Try the following.
-Make sure that a resource has a cost rate per day.
-Baseline all tasks using Tools/Tracking/Save baseline
-Select a task and complete it in total or in part.
-Insert columns for BCWP and ACWP, they should both have values.
-If so as CPI = BCWP/ACWP then it must have a value
-Insert a column for CPI, it MUST have a value in it

Of either are zero, then CPI will be zero

Best Regards

Be sure to set the Status Date field in the Project Information dialog box
(Project menu) to your desired reporting date.

Steve and Pratta:

Thank you both so much for your replies. I wound up doing all those things
late last night (early this AM) and was able to make it work. The last thing
I did was change the status date and it solved the problem.

Thanks again.

What was the old value of your Status date, NA or an old date?
Will it be computed correctly if we clear Status date to NA?
