editing deleting things

Hi
I must have switched something on by mistake but now if I edit some some
text it erases what is in front of it instead of adding it eg. if I was to
add "Now" to "testing" it would do "Nowing" instead of "Now testing"

Press the Insert key on your keyboard, this key is a toggle between
Inserting and Overwriting
