Editing multiple documents

Hello all.
I have a customer with a "master" document. By that I mean, it is just used
as the starter/guideline for each customer. When they get a new customer,
they open this document and make changes that reflect the customer and save
it in their own folder. Now, serveral thousand later..they want to make
updates that would reflect in all of the documents. For example, some
verbage changes, maybe insert a link to an Outlook public folder, move some
things around, etc. I saw a post
(http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/BatchFR.htm) that would possibly deal
with verbage changes..but won't deal with inserting new things or anything
like that. Any suggestions on an editing tool that would work..is it
possible?
