Editing scannned documents

How do you edit a document that you have scanned with Document
imager/scanner? Sending text to word, but how do you send it back?

The Document Imaging program will not read a Word document. Print the edited Word
document and re-scan. If you have saved the original scan as a .tif then you can open
it in the Document Imaging program; if not copy the Word document, paste into a paint
program, save as a tif.

Or use the OCR application, that was probably included with your scanner
software bundle
