Editing Shape text boxes when the Text Tool is selected

Hi, When I edit text associated with a Visio Shape whilst I have the Text
Tool on the Standrd Toolbar selected the image on screen moves so that the
text to be edited is at the bottom left corner of the screen.
With any other Toolbar icons selected this does not happen.
Is there a way of disabling this - other than never using the Text Tool?
Help please.
I am using a Corporate licenced version of Visio Pro 2003 SP1 (11.4301.6568)

Does this heppen with every shape?
What about if you double-click to edit the text?

Hi Paul, Yes it does the same with all shapes.
My normal method of editing text is to double-click, but with the Text Tool
selected, just a single click on the shape repaints the screen with the
shape's text at the bottom left corner

Odd, never seen anything like that and I can't reproduce it.
I'll suggest the usual:
1. ensure your video display drivers are up to date
2. reduce/stop any hardware acceleration on your video card

If not then maybe someone else can help ...

reproduce it. I have had this happening in four separate instances of Visio
installations using different hardware/OS versions I have worked on for
different companies over the years.

When I edit the text either stays in the same area of the screen or it
zooms in in the centre of the screen for very small text.
Check menu Tools -> Options
and on the General tab check for the automatically zooming text,
should be set to something like 6pt I think.

I see what yoiu mean - this doesn't happen when I zoomed in a bit.
However, when I am zoomed out, the text edit centres the shape in the screen
(not bottom left).
Don't know a way to switch it off though....
