Email addresses not importing - help me!

I seem to have no trouble exporting into and importing from a file to my new
computer, but can't get the email addresses from my old computer to transfer
for some reason.

Also, when I try to save as .pst file, I can't email or post the file to a
network drive b/c "The process cannot access the file because another process
has locked a portion of the file."

Trying to go from Outlook 2000 to 2003 if that matters at all.

Can anyone help?????

State more clearly what you want to do.
If you only need to transfer data from one version of Outlook to another,
then you have no reason to be using importing and exporting. Indeed, you
should not be.
Just copy the PST file and open it in the other installation.
