email blocking

Is there a way to set up Outlook XP so that only email
from friends will come through? Blocking all this junk
mail I am getting. (over 90 each time I check my mail)

You can use the Junk Mail filters to help cut down on it by adding junk
senders to the proper list. Go to Organize and turn on Junk E-mail.

You might also consider upgrading to Outlook 2003 when it officially
releases later this month. It has DRAMATICALLY better anti-spam
capabilities, including the ability to "White List" which is to say, only
keep mail from people on your list of friends and dump all the other mail in
the trash automatically.

The white list capability is already there in Outlook 2002, with the ability to create a rule with a condition or exception for senders from a specific contacts list.
