email download

I am using MS outlook to download my e mail messages
Increasingly this has become slower and today I cannot download any.
I have visited my providers web mail and there they are.
Suggesting that it is the Outlook causing the problem
Are there any suggestions on what the nexts steps I should take to correct
the situation

Do you receive any errors? Also, a few questions:
- what version of Outlook are you using?
- have you run ScanPST.EXE on your PST file?

Hi,
Try this,

1) start-->run-- outlook /safe ... check if outlook works normally.
2) Run a search for and rename the following files frmcache.dat, outcmd.dat,
extend.dat, views.dat and *.srs files.
