One of the managers here is having a problem with his Outlook email signatures.

He recently changed jobs, which necessitated moving to a different office
with a different workstation, and a change of title.

He says that he has several times gone in and edited his email signature to
reflect his new title. He creates emails that day and they come out with
the correct new signature. However, he says that he comes in the next day to
find that it has reverted, and the old signature with the old title is back.
He says he has even tried deleting the old signature and creating a new one,
but it still reverts the following day.

Has anyone seen this problem and can you offer a solution? We use Outlook
2003.

That certainly sounds perplexing. Is he connected to the same mail server?
Did he import a PST? Was a new profile created for him?

He is connected to the same mail server. No, he didn't import a PST, and
didn't import a new profile; he simply logged on to the new workstation and
carried on with his work as he usually would. Everything else is working
fine. I agree, it is perplexing. I've never heard of anything like this
before.

He is connected to the same mail server. When he changed desks, he simply
logged on and carried on with his work, and has had no other issues with
other settings. It wasn't necessary to create a new profile or import a .pst
file. Very perplexing indeed.

It wasn't necessary to create a new profile or import a .pst file, since he
is still working in the same office. He is still connected to the same mail
server. He simply logged on to the different workstation, as any of us can
do within our workplace, and carried on with his work.

Signatures are stored on the local computer. Changing computers will
therefore give older signatures.

The user will also need to change signatures in all three formats:
Plain Text
Rich Text
HTML

The easiest thing to do is to delete the signatures and start again or edit
the actual sigature files.

The signatures are saved in the folder:
c:\Documents and Settings\%user name%\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures

Once you have the signatures setup correctly on one computer copy them
manually to the other workstations.
