email signatures

I created an email signature using a graphic along with the text. When I
send an email from Outlook, the signature looks as it should and I see no
attachment placed with the email in the "sent mail". However, the image file
appears as an attachment at the recipient's end. I see this when the
recipient sends a reply to my email. I also see the attachment when I've
received the email at a different address. Is there a way to avoid sending
the image file as an attachment and still have the image appear in the
signature?

You have no control whatsoever how a user views e-mails on his systems, and
long may it remain so. A plain text setting is frequently used to minimise
the transmission of viruses that could be contained in html e-mails. Stick
to plain text and put your formatted documents in attachments.
