Embed sound settings for all users

I have been asked to configure a laptop so that all users will have an
embedded sound file size of less than 50000 KB. How can I do that for all
users who log in to that computer?

The only sound file which get embedded are WAV files. All others are linked. Depending on your version of PowerPoint the setting can be set (this is for 2007) by Clicking on the Office button, PowerPoint Options, Advanced, and at the bottom of the page is where you set your max file size.

Insert a wave sound. In the specific ribbon, y'll find the place to write
50000 instead of 100

I have that, and setting will not change if the same user logs out and logs
back in again. However, I would like to know how to keep the settings for
any user that logs on.

Thanks so much. I will give that a try.

The value is stored under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\PowerPoint\Options

in Link Sound Size

RegDWORD, value = the value you entered in the Options dialog box.

If there's a way of enforcing that value for each user, that'd do it.
