Embedded Video Don't Play

I'm having trouble playing embedded mpg videos in
PowerPoint ever since I upgraded to Series 9 Media Player
and upgraded to Windows 2000 SP-4. Some of the existing
mpg videos play fine but others show the first still image
and then the image are goes white and stays white until I
advance to the next slide.
