Employees of Corporate MS Clients Allowed a Copy at Home?

I seem to recall MS allowing employees of corporate MS
clients a free nod to use the apps at home (on one machine).

Is that still in effect?

Hi Croy,

MS Volume License holders with the MS 'software assurance' option, depending on the license they hold, may be able to offer
employees a MS Office Home Use license
http://microsoft.com/licensing/sa/benefits/home_use_rights.mspx
for the product used in the corporation. Check with your IT Admin folks to see if that's offered through your company.

The State of California does not have an overall license but each Agency purchases software for its own use. Check with your Agency to see if it uses a volume or SA license. In the future, DTS may begin to lump all software purchases into one license but for now, each agency buys its own.
