Endnotes

G

Gator Secretary

I have a manuscript set up so that when you click on the endnotes number in
the text, it automatically sends you to that number at the end of the text.
How do I turn this feature off? How do I turn off the autmotic numbering
thing as well?
thanks

I'm not sure if I follow what you are asking. The behavior you
describe is a feature of footnotes/endnotes and AFAIK you can not turn
off the behavior where Word will navigate to the footnote/endnote when
you double-click the footnote/endnote reference.

Regarding the numbering, are you saying you would rather manually
number your references? If that's the case, and since you don't like
the link aspect, then don't use the footnote/endnote feature and
manually insert the references and the footnotes/endnotes.
