Enlarging Fonts for Poster

J

Jodi

I am making a poster in Publisher using the font type
Andy. The maximum type font is 72pt, but that's not
large enough for my poster. How do I make the font type
larger?

Where you are given the option to change font size, highlight the number and
enter your own value..

I was only given the option to enlarge the font to 72pt--
I was not able to enter my own value.

Just click on the 72 and type in whatever number you want. And just in
case...which font is it?

Just to clarify, you click the down arrow, then click the number next to the
down arrow you just clicked (NOT the 72 that is in the list).

I'll make a quick animation if you are really desperate...

in Pub 2003.
This works from the Format > Font menu but does not work from Font and
Size buttons on the Toolbar.
72 is the limit in the few fonts I looked at and the only sizes are
those in the drop down.
Intermediate sizes are available from Format > Font box.

It works in both places. I just did it, took 3 seconds. Just make sure you
don't click an option in the list, just start typing your number.

Its funny the little things that mislead me. (and sometimes others)
If you type a number in the box then you have to press Enter to make it
take.
Thats where I went wrong and did not notice that even any of the drop
down sizes do not take if you type it in and then click somewhere else
without pressing enter
Of course in the Format > Font case you click Apply or OK to get out and
that works.

I wonder if this is the OP's problem as she could not get it to work
either.
