Enter calender time instead of working time

I work in a project where you want to enter calender time for a task e.g. a
task will need 12 weeks of calender time to be finished. If I enter 12 weeks
in the duration field I get 12 working weeks and NOT 12 calender weeks. If I
use start and stop dates the duration filed shows number of working weeks and
not calender weeks. I am not using resourses (people) connected to the tasks
in this project. I just want to schedule the tasks according to the calender.
How can I do this?

Hi Helena,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Just put an e after the time in the Duration field, ie 8edays means 8
elepsed days.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Thank you Mike for the hint. The problem is that the duration is calculated
as working time when the duration is accumulated up to next level even if you
set edays on the task at the lower level.

Have you tried editing the Project calendar to make every day a working
day? In the tools menu go to Change Working Time and for the Standard
or whatever calendar is used for you project calendar make sat and sun
working days with the same hours as the other days of the week. Then go
to calendar options and set hours per day = 8, hours per week = 56, day
per month = 28
