Enter Network Password

Does anybody know how to resolve the problem where
the "ENTER NETWORK PASSWORD" box appears (already
populated) intermittently - and why Microsoft can't be
bothered to fix it?

(Let'shope the fix is easy - I'm no expert!)

I had this problem and resolved it by applying Service Pack 1 & Service Pack 2 for Office 2002 (not for XP, but for the Office Suite). I also applied two other "fixes" for Office 2002 but I'm pretty sure it was the service packs that corrected the problem. I believe you can download the service packs from the MS web site....my company already had them on a file server so I didn't have to go 'a hunting
