Entourage 2008: Can't disable junk filter

This is my first day using Entourage 2008 and the first thing
Entourage did when I added the IMAP account was started moving things
to my Junk E-mail folder. My company's spam filter is almost perfect
so all the messages being moved were false positives. I turned Junk E-
mail filtering off altogether, quit Entourage and opened it again. I
moved the incorrectly-classified messages out of my spam folder and
into my inbox, and Entourage immediately moved them back and popped up
a dialog saying "Junk E-mail Found". I have repeated this process
several times and I can't figure out how to get Entourage to just stop
filtering messages it thinks are spam.

Here's a screenshot of this highly annoying issue:

Anyone know of a way that I can really turn off spam filtering? I kind
of thought that changing the "Protection Level" to "None" would do it,
but I guess that was a naive assumption...

TIA for your help.

I am having the exact same problem, but only with 1 (of 5) IMAP accounts I
have setup in Entourage. EVERY incoming mail is classified as JUNK, even
though a have Junk email protection set to NONE.

Anyone have any ideas how to resolve this problem?

I am having the same problem with my POP email account. For some
reason in the last couple of days all my incoming email is going into
the Junk email folder including emails from people in my address
book. I have turned off the junk filter and it's still happening. If
I right click on the mails, I don't get the option to mark them as
"not junk" but I can "mark as junk" (even though they are sitting in
the junk email folder). I didn't change anything or create any filter
rules. I haven't installed any Microsoft updates either (unless it's
happened without me being asked). Any ideas welcomed....

You must have a rule that is moving the message. The most likely culprit is
the Mailing List Manager (MLM). It's very easy to set up a MLM rule by
accident, when you are marking a message as 'not junk'. The wording of that
dialog is ambiguous to say the least. Check if there is an MLM entry (look
for MLM entries under the tools menu) with the incorrect destination folder
as the target folder. Mailing List Manager rules run before your other
rules.

Diane, You are correct! Basically I did everything they tell you not
to do here
http://www.entourage.mvps.org/rules/mlm.html
and of course the MLM rule doesn't show up on the rules tab, so i
thought I'd added an address to my "junk" and had done MLM insteatd.

Thank you!
