I have the Home & Student edition of Entourage 2008 and have the following
issues that would love to get resolved (either somebody giving me some tips
or Microsoft correcting them in the next update):

1. Sounds, I depend on the sounds to warn me of incoming mails and meetings
(read enough to realize it is a programming bug within Entourage, please do
something about it!!!);

2. I have Entourage crash continuously on me (my Main Identity file is big
..... 6.2Gb) and need to re-compact each time to get it working again (hope
Microsoft folks read the many messages sent by the error reporting program).
Did not have this problem with Entourage 2004. Crashes occur mostly in the
following circumstances: i) Saving attachments; ii) Opening attachments with
Word 2008; iii) Changing from html to plain text messages and vice versa;
iv) Working with a Project (it seems it absorbs lots of resources and slows
down the machine considerably; v) Working with recurring tasks, in the first
recurring event; vi) While changing Spelling Language within a message; vii)
Changing typing colors within a message;

3. Time Zones: In Entourage 2004 I fiddled with the two .txt files adding
missing time zones (appended as time zone 74 and 75) and changed the once
that changed from not having DST to having. In Entourage 2008 I do not know
were these files are to make the needed changes. Microsoft is very slow in
MAC version to update (if at all) time zone changes, so please give us the
opportunity in doing it!!! Given that I work with different time zones in
Latin America, my calendar is totally messed up now!!!

4. Missing from the Outlook program the return receipt or reading receipt or
delivery receipt. This is a useful function I would love to have again.

5. I read continuously that Office 2008 by being Intel native should run
faster in my MacBook Pro, but I experience an overall slowdown of my
machine, specially if I'm running Word and Entourage together. Could it be I
have something miss-configured?

6. Finally, the headache I see most of us Treo (Palm operating system) users
have is in not having a conduit to sync directly between our Treo's and
Entourage (including the missing Notes Sync). Would it be possible to have a
detailed spelled out process to get this working with Sync Services and
Missing Sync or whatever process there is out there? If there is such
process written, would somebody refer me to it please?

Thanks folks

First asking multiple questions like this in one email is very difficult.
Most of your questions can be resolved if you check out these blog articles:

The Entourage Help Blog: Search Results

..cgi?tag=Entourage%202008&blog_id=14>

Or try this if the above breaks:

Try exporting your data as an Entourage archive (.rge) selecting to delete
after exporting. Try importing it back into Entourage. This might fix your
problem. If not, create a new Identity and import the .rge file into the new
Identity. You will have to create your Accounts from scratch, but you can
copy over the Rules and Signatures files. (Always make a backup before doing
an activity like this.)
4. Missing from the Outlook program the return receipt or reading receipt or
delivery receipt. This is a useful function I would love to have again.

It is not included for a very good reason. It's an almost useless feature
which gives people false assurances, always a bad thing.
