Entourage + Exchange

Email Client: Exchange

I have acquired and been using an Office Student Edition 2004 that - although I didn't like the visual design, not as good as the Office for Windows - was working very well, especially with my Exchange server. Recently I decided to up-grade to Office 2008 and bought a new Office Student Edition 2008 (Here the visual design and interface are much better!). But this new edition just won't work with Exchange. (I know it is written on the box... ok!)

BUT, as I have already spent for 2 Office editions I don't want to buy another just to connect with my Exchange server. Question: what is best from the below options?

(a) use both versions, Entourage 2004 plus 2008 for the other apps - if this is so, how can I work with both versions at the same time?

(b) use my I-pod touch which supports Exchange, sincronise with mobile.me, then it will automatically sinchonize with my I-Cal, Agenda, I-mail and hopefully update my Entourage info? is this correct? I will be not using my VPN anymore.

(c) forget Entourage and just use the apple apps sinchonized via mobie.me

Would you have any other suggestion?

Thank you very much.

Guess it depends on many of the Exchange Server features you use. If you
don't use the Exchange calendaring, then I would personally dump Entourage
and stick with the mail.app. Mail does support connectivity to Exchange and
will allow you to check your Exchange email. Furthermore, rumors say will
have improved Exchange support (like the Iphone/ touch) very soon. If you do
use Exchange calendaring, it's a bit too cumbersome to have everything work
together, and I would then stick with Entourage (at least for now, see
iphone/touch comment...).

I personally use still Entourage 2008 to connect to my work Exchange server,
but only because we use the calendars extensively.
