Entourage is very unstable

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Several months ago I installed Entourage to be able to use our company wide calendar, address books and email. At first, it worked well, but the last couple of weeks it's been getting increasingly unstable. First, I started seeing database errors, which required rebuilding the database. Nevertheless, I could still function. Then, the Entourage began freezing or crashing anytime I checked POP email (one of several "outside" accounts). I eventually moved back to Apple's Mail application. Now, every time I click on the Exchange-based company wide Calendar, Entourage freezes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting and rebuilding my main identity (from what's on the Exchange server), and so on. Nothing works. I suppose that one of the calendar items is corrupt, not that it bother Outlook when I work from a PC. Any idea how to fix this problem short of deleting my entire calendar? If that would even work?

Let's test in a new User first to see if there is a problem in your User's
account and your Identity.

Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the
New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. Open Entourage and
enter your Exchange account info.

Let me know if there is an improvement.
