Errant E-mail address in Address Book

B

BobS

From what I can read in the Help file, the only things that should show up
in the Outlook address book are email address classified as type SMTP and
fax numbers classified as type FAX. Some users at one of my accouts is
getting entries of type EX. They are peculiarly something resembling an AD
entry or something with CN=.....,CN=...., ....

What are these and where are they coming from. Has something somehow
gotten corrupted?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you connecting to an Exchange server? Those would be the X400/X500
connector addresses which are required.

The client is on an exchange server. However, those addresses only show up
for a few of the people at the account, and only in some of the users
address books. All of the right stuff is there also, but it is confusing
for the users and at random they will pick the wrong one.

Is there a way to keep these out, or is it as you say, required.
