Error 1931

I have just updated to office 2000 SR-1 from office 97 and
I cant open any word docs, I get a error that says
something like Files/common files/Micosoft shared
VgX/vgx.dll
I have looked at the MS stuff and have upgeraded to MS
internet 6. still no luck in opening word. How do I get a
support fix.
