Error editing story in MS word

I have 2 pubs that they both in one section I want to
edit story in ms word. I get a message that word is busy
or you may have low memory. These are simular pubs and I
have 5 other that are about the same. They work fine,
even if I have multiple files open. Even in the pubs in
question, if I go to another section and do the edit
story in word it works. They worked the last time I
worked on them in June. I can't find anything wrong with
the stories. What could cause this. This is at work on
a copaq running on a LAN 256mg ram win xp pro.

Posting your Word version and Publisher
version might make it easier to get a solution.

That's what strange. I have 7 pubs that are virtually
the same. I can have one of the 5 that are working
correctly at the same time as 1 that is having the
problem. The ones that work I click in the area I want
to edit and it works fine. Then I do the same in the one
I'm having problems with and the area. If I go to
another section of the pub it works fine. I have a
corporate edition of norton. That's another problem,
cause there is no options when I have the norton up.
I've left a message at noton about this problem. But
it's strage that only one section in two of my pubs gives
me the error and all sections of my other pubs and the
other sections of those 2 pubs work perfectly.

Just wondering if you have even taken the
time to read the MSKB articles that have
been posted for you?

Here are instructions directly from Norton:

I have read all the articals. First since this is my
work computer, they have symantec antivirus corporate
edition 8.1. If I open it there is no option available.
There is also no officeav.dll that can be removed. I'm
waiting to hear from symantec (norton) as to what can be
done. And as I said it's only 2 of my publication and
then only in this one section that I edit every 2 to 3
months. But being on a company lan I don't have much
control.

Maybe your system administrator could assist you.

Let us know what the solution is.

Here's what I got from tech support at Symantec.

I understand that you are having a problem editing files
in Publisher 2002. As you mentioned, Symantec AntiVirus
Corporate Edition does not have any script blocking
functionality, nor an Office plugin. To rule out if
Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition is related to this
issue, disable Realtime Protection and try editing these
files. If the problem persists, then Symantec AntiVirus
Corporate Edition is not involved and I recommend to
contact Microsoft Technical Support about this problem.

I did try turning off real time scanning but it still
gets that error message. If anyone wants to see 2 of my
files and see if it does it for them I can email them to
you.
