Error message: Mail Merge Cannot continue - ideas?

I keep getting this error message when I start to create a
mail merge in Publisher/Office 2000. I have reinstalled
the software, downloaded updates, etc. Nothing helps.

What version of Windows are using???

What file type is the Merge file?

Go to the www.microsoft.com/data and download and install the latest MDAC
Components for your operating system.

I'm using 98se and the data file is a txt file. I can
create a merged document on my work computer, bring it
home and still get the same error message.

Well bash in the MDAC Components and that should fix your problems.

Also make sure you have all the updates for Internet Explorer installed.

Make sure the text file has an acceptable extension like CSV.
