Error message when accessing Word, excel, etc

I down loaded updates from microsoft. When I rebooted and
I tried to access word and excel, it gives me the
following message:
install cd rom for microsoft office 2000 professional. i
insert disk 1 it says data1.msi not on the disk. The same
happens for disk 2. I tried running both disks and it
still doesn't fix the problem. I also downloaded Windows
2000 Service pack 4 and that didn't fix the problem.

Please help!!!!!!
