Error message when opening Word

I have a user who has asked what response to give to the following question.

Word automatically saved changes to Normal document template, do you want to
load it?

Does anyone know what happens if I click YES and what happens if I click NO.

I know how to get rid of this message but I want to know what to advise the
user on the response they should give and why.
