Close FrontPage.
Do a search for files named *.tmp and delete all found
Do the same for *.web then open FrontPage and try.

Exactly when do you see this error??

If using FP 20002, go to this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp\FrontPageTempDir
and delete anything in it.

If 2003, go to this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir

and delete everything in it and then try.

The Web cache files are in
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache

They are known system files normally hidden by Windows

Steve, I deleted all of the *.tmp and *.web files and still get the error
when I open the page in FP and click on the HTML function - I'm running
Office XP professional FrontPage version on Windows 2000 Pro..

thanks, Rob
