Error When Downloading Mail in Outlook

I recently moved from Outlook Express to Outlook ... everything seems to be OK except for one thing. Whenever Outlook checks for mail (I am using an imap server) I get my mail in the Inbox OK but I also get the following error from Outlook:

Task 'Checking for new mail in subscribed folders on SWY [SC].' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook is unable to download folder (null) from the IMAP e-mail server for account SWY [SC]. Error: Unable to connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I don't understand what is causing this ... my account settings seem fine and no other accounts are used when I hit Send/Receive (s far as I know).
