Hi,

I'm new to mac, and experimenting with using some sheets I developed on my pc version of Excel 2007. I'm having some problems with formulas though, for example, the following formla worked in excel 2007:

=SUMIFS(E:E,I:I,M7,D:D,"=B")-SUMIFS(E:E,I:I,M7,D:D,"=S")
+AD7

I'm suspecting that the mac version doesn't support the "E:E" way of referencing columns of data. Is there a place where these kinds of issues are addressed? I can't find anything on this site.

I can't say for version 2008, but in v.X SUMIFS is not an available
function, though SUMIF is. I suspect it's part if an add-in macro in your
Windows version.

Well, it's one of the functions in the function library of 2008, so I don't think it's an add-in problem. Is 'column:column' still a valid syntax to denote an entire column in excel 2008? i.e. will =Sum(A:A) take the sum of every cell in column A?

Yes, A:A is a perfectly valid reference in Mac Excel 2008. SUMIFS is also a
valid function in Mac Excel 2008. Check in Help to make sure you have all
the parameters correctly specified. If the same sheet produces different
results in Windows vs. Mac, I would like to see this. Can you send me an
example?
