Error when starting the Outlook

hi,
i'm facing the problem when starting the outlook 2002
i changed the mail settings of datafiles from control panel to 'prompt
a profile to be used'
After saving the settings and when i'm starting the outlook it's
showing the error 'The server is not available.Contact your
administrator if this condition persisits

but if i change the setting to 'Always use this profile',then outlook
works fine

Any help is greatly appreciated

Is the profile you start Outlook with when using the prompt the same as when
you use "Always use this profile"?
