When I run the built-in Earned Value Over Time Report, exporting to Excel
2003, I don't get a useful chart.
Using the default template, the chart has only one data point, because the
calendar isn't "assigned" to the X axis - so I do that myself. Then I can't
get a baseline budget S curve directly from the table; the best I can
achieve is a plot of costs month by month, but not cumulative. I can't find
a field to add to generate this curve automatically, so I have to generate
the cumulative data separately, in which case I can't include it in the
PivotChart.
I'm sure it's not meant to be this hard - I think I have something wrong.
Can somebody confirm that this function is supposed to work in the standard
version of Project, and that it works properly with Excel 2003?
All help will be appreciated,
Scott
