Excel 2000- Pivots- Group by date

If I have dates in the 2004-01-16 format, and I want the
Pivot to group by Month regardless of day, is there anyway
to do this without manually grouping?

I see there is a way in Excel 2003- but I have 2000.

Any help would be appreciated?

Right click on your dates, select group, Months is likely to already be selected
so just hit OK
