Excel 2003

When in excel when I go to , file properties, then summary tab then put in a
title. Is that title supposed to carry over so when I click file save as i
will see that title as the file name? This is how it does work in Word.

Also functionaly in Excel 2003 how many (.) can I use in a file name.
Example (test.v1.1.xlt) When i do this then reopen the file and do a file
save as on another system the file save as default becomes Whit the quotes
"test.v1.1." when i save the file this way it is no longer associated with
Excel.
I want the XTL file to default and save as an XLS extension.
this is my version scheme for my company templates.
Thanks in advance for any help

Try using underscore (_) rather than (.)
