Excel chart colors in powerpoint presentation

I have created a new set of Theme Colors for my powerpoint presentation and made sure to press "Apply to All". However when I insert a new pie chart, the colors are not from my new Theme Colors. I've gone into Excel and selected my new Theme Colors for the Document Theme, but it still does not work. Unless I select each element in the chart and change the colors manually, my Theme colors do not automatically appear. Is there a way to set the chart colors?

All I can tell you is that custom Document Themes still appear to be a "work
in progress" :) They don't seem to behave exactly as expected. I've also
noticed similar misbehavior in Office 2007.

One thing that may help: If you look in the Chart Styles group of the
Formatting Palette you should see a thumbnail representation of the color
scheme you devised. Select the chart that doesn't recolor as per your scheme
then click the thumbnail in the Chart Styles to make it comply.

Thanks for replying! I tried that out and yeah, it still seems buggy. While the colors are similar to the color palette I made, they are still off a little bit. I guess that's better than having completely opposite colors. I appreciate the info though - good to know!
