Excel needs tolauch after booting the pc

Everytime I reboot, the machine hangs and hangs and then Excel says there was
an error starting (it's not in Startup) and wants to send an error message
which it does and then needs to start in Safe mode. I then close Excel and go
about computing normally. Excel also works fine after that.

What's loading and how do I stop it? I'v done the Office repair and am
current with Office 2007.

Hi Topper68,

What's loading and how do I stop it?

Click Start, Run and enter:
msconfig
and click OK

Now check if you can find excel.exe anywhere.
If it is there you can safely uncheck it.

Thanks but I tried that. It must be starting under another name, something
Office or Msoftish. It doesn't happen in the don't load any drivers in
msconfig so it si something there but I can't figure out what.

You could also download Spybot search and destroy, it has an advanced mode
which shows you all processes that start with Windows and enables you to turn
them off at will.
